Pete Doherty, kept alive by machines

The 30 year old rocker revealed that last month his life hung by a piece of string, being half dead.

Forced to cancel several concerts, Doherty’s agent announced that the artist is exhausted and that he was hospitalized. Now the rocker admitted it was a sort of poisoning of the body, but the problem wasn’t caused by drugs, as doctors first believed, because of his drug related past.

Pete’s heart stopped beating and after resuscitation he needed to be connected to life support machines. All he remembers is hitting himself against a wall and suddenly fell unconscious: “I woke up in hospital. They asked me around 20 questions – if I know my name, how old am I … I later found out how serious the situation was. ”

While doctors still fear for his life, Doherty wants to return to the stage with Babyshambles: “A concert is exactly what my doctor recommended,” he joked.
