Oprah's movie – awarded at Toronto film festival
“Precious” is the story of a young 16 years old illiterate woman, who is physically and psychologically abused by her mother and repeatedly raped by her father.
The executive producer of the film is Oprah Winfrey. The movie is inspired by a short story written by Sapphire Posh. The production has enjoyed great success and was awarded at the Toronto Film Festival.
The movie addresses to those who look in the mirror and feel unsure of the person they see.
The festival took place in Toronto and lasted between 10-19 September, at the festival taking part over 300,000 people.
