Actors Michael Douglas and Matt Damon give hand for a new professional challenge. The two will play a gay couple in a film that will present the life of Wladziu Valentino Liberace, a pianist of great popularity in the 1950s, in the United States.

Director Steven Soderbergh has confirmed the participation of the two celebrities. Douglas will play Liberace, famous for his classic songs, who publicly acknowledged his homosexuality, and Damon will play the role of Scott Thorsen, personal assistant to the pianist and his alleged lover.
The two arrived in court after Thorsen asked Liberace damages exceeding 100 million dollars and recognition of their five years relationship. Liberace died in 1987 at 67 years because of AIDS.
Soderberg, who worked with Douglas in “Traffic” and just released “The Informant” with Matt Damon, said the production of the film is already advanced and the script, written by Richard LaGravanese, is almost completed.
